‘Smishing’ crook holidayed around the world

A fraudster who masterminded a so-called ‘smishing’ scam which lured in victims with text messages has been jailed for 33 months. Emanuel Poku, 24, was caught with devices containing 500,000 phone numbers and 35,000 bank card numbers, linked to more than £2m of reported losses on devices.
