Striker blames robbers for drink driving

Footballer Saido Berahino will fight a drink driving charge because he claims he was trying to escape an attack by armed robbers, a court heard. Police were called to an incident outside VQ, a 24-hour restaurant and bar in Bloomsbury, central London, at 3am on February 18 and saw Stoke City striker Berahino, 25, racing off.
