TfL fined £10m for Croydon tram disaster
A judge fined Transport for London £10m for ignoring ‘an accident waiting to happen’ which led to the deaths of seven passengers in the Croydon tram disaster. The tram derailed and flew through the air while hurtling around a bend near the Sandilands tunnel at over three times the speed limit on 9 November 2016.
