Tory donor ‘disappointed’ by libel result

A Conservative Party donor said he is ‘extremely disappointed’ after being denied permission to appeal against a ruling over whether he had been defamed by an ex-Tory MP. Mohamed Amersi, 63, alleges that Charlotte Leslie libelled him in letters she sent to a number of high-profile figures in 2020 and 2021.
