Trial for ‘metal pole assailant’

A man accused of fracturing a 13-year-old boy’s head with a metal pole outside a school will stand trial in August. Luke Bowyer, 35, allegedly struck the child outside a school in Streatham, southwest London, on November 25 at 3:30pm. Police initially described the boy’s injuries as life threatening, but later downgraded the assessment to non-life changing.
