WILKINSON: BAIL FOR ACCUSED LOOTER

A six months pregnant air stewardess accused of hoarding thousands of pounds worth of looted goods from the riots has been granted bail.

When police raided Alicia Wilkinson’s home in Croydon it was allegedly ‘jam-packed’ with property including two valuable electric guitars, two plasma TVs, and a pile of hair extensions.

Wilkinson, 22, is accused of handling stolen goods with boyfriend Nicholas Cuffy, 20, who remains in custody.

Inner London Crown Court heard how police called at the address in Outram Road, on August 14, following a tip-off, and found the items in two rooms.

Wilkinson previously had bail refused on two occasions and prosecutors again opposed her release from remand at HMP Holloway.

But Judge Robert Fraser granted it on condition of residence at Malcolm Road, Forest Hill, se London, and that she does not contact Mr Cuffy.

She was not at her bail hearing and was expected to be released from jail later today.
