‘Wimbledon Prowler’ accused of £500,000 burglary spree

An accused burglar suspected of being the ‘Wimbledon Prowler’ appeared in court today (thurs) accused of stealing jewellery worth more than £500,000. Asdrit Kapaj, 42, has now been accused of breaking into multi-million pound homes across the affluent suburb in southwest London between 2008 and 2018. The married father of-two appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today (thurs) charged with 18 burglaries and two attempted burglaries, totalling around £542,000.
