A driver who mowed down and killed a pensioner on a pedestrian crossing has been jailed for three years. Al-Karim Visram, 38, hit 78-year-old Hansraj Damji in his black Hyundai i20 as he crossed on Alexandra Avenue, Harrow. After the first impact, Visram drove to a side road running over Mr Damji’s legs, Harrow Crown Court heard.
