Woman ‘tried to turn pebbles into diamonds’

A woman has denied plotting to steal £4.2million of diamonds from a Mayfair jewellers by swapping them for pebbles. Georgeta Danila, 52, was allegedly part of a team of criminals who tricked staff into handing over the gems at family-owned Boodles in New Bond Street on 10 March 2016.
