A man has admitted setting fire to his house in revenge for being evicted by his landlord.
Olatunji Okubote, 35, of Sutherland Road, Tottenham, pleaded guilty to arson by being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He warned his neighbours at the Sutherland Road address to leave the building before pouring petrol around the ground floor and lighting it as the police arrived.
An alternative charge of arson with intent to endanger life on August 5 this year was dropped by the prosecution.
Okubote will be sentenced on November 27 at the Old Bailey after the preparation of psychiatric and pre-sentence reports.
He was remanded into custody until that date.
