A young churchgoer raped a born-again Christian after she told him she could not have sex before marriage, the Old Bailey heard today.
Jason Campbell, 23, allegedly attacked the
32-year-old woman in the hallway of her own home when he brought round a strimmer to cut the grass.
She had opened the door dressed in a red polka-dot nightie, black knickers and an open dressing gown, the jury was told.
He pushed her to the floor and broke down her resistance by biting her ‘sensitive’ nipple, it is claimed.
The woman told the jury: ‘He bit my nipple so hard it actually hurt.
My nipples are very sensitive areas and he knew that.
That was when he got inside me.
‘
Campbell first met the woman when he was only nine years old and she was working at the church’s summer playscheme in the Willesden area in northwest London.
They later had a secret sexual relationship several years before the alleged rape attack, the jury heard.
The woman from Harlesden said their relationship ended because she knew sex outside marriage was ‘wrong.
‘
‘I just wanted to live a life that was pleasing to God.
I made a commitment that I wouldn’t have sex again until I got married.
‘
She rang to ask him to return the strimmer to her house on June 18 last year.
By now he had a partner and a small child.
‘I had a white nightie with red polka-dots, a pair of black knickers and a dressing gown.
He dropped the strimmer off and looked at a videotape which he wanted to borrow.
‘Then he said he was going to go.
We hugged each other near the front door.
He hugged me quite tightly and he then put his hands around my waist.
‘He put me on the stairs and he lay on top of me.
I said to him “What are you doing?” He said nothing.
‘He reached to where my knickers were and pulled them to one side.
The next thing I knew his penis was in his hand and he was trying to get it inside me.
‘I closed my legs and we struggled for a few minutes.
He bit my left nipple.
Then his penis came inside me.
‘
She claimed he managed six or seven thrusts before asking her if she really wanted to stop.
The mother of two told the court: ‘I said yes and he actually stopped.
He asked me why.
‘I said you know the stand I have taken, I am not going to have sex outside marriage.
He sort of smirked and left.
‘
Campbell left after taking a videotape, she claimed.
Prosecutor Simon Connolly said the woman was no longer willing to have sex with Campbell and did not consent.
‘She was crying and it should have been obvious to him.
She later phoned him to remonstrate with him and in that conversation she agreed with him that she was not going to tell anybody about it.
‘The position they were both in, involved with the church community, was difficult but she did report it.
‘
Campbell of [13] Dundonald Road, Kensal Rise, northwest London, was arrested and interviewed but made no comment to every question.
He denies rape on June 18 last year.
The trial continues.
