A solicitor accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl he met through an internet chatroom is facing a retrial after a jury failed to reach a decision.
Pakistani immigration specialist Ashfaq Altaf, 33, was said to have had ‘uncontrollable desires’ for the girl.
But he claimed she told him she was 19 and they did not have full sex at the Travel Inn in Kenton Lane, Harrow.
Altaf, of Carrington Road, Aylesbury, Bucks, denies having unlawful sexual intercourse and indecent assault on the night of November 8 last year.
He is due to be retried on a date to be fixed.
