A biker who called a restaurateur a ‘black b*****d’ faces jail after he and his pal were today (FRI) convicted by a jury of racist behaviour.
Phillip Flanagan, 35, Terry White, 37, and a third leather-clad lout sat necking their own drinks outside a Mayfair restaurant.
When owner Omar Hassibi spotted them, he handed them a menu and told them: ‘You have to eat something if you want to stay.
‘
But the three turned nasty, refused to place their orders and stayed put.
When Mr Hassibi threatened to call the police they squared up to him and threatened to ‘smash him up’, Southwark Crown Court was told.
Staring the Rose of Sham manager in the eye, pierced Flanagan snarled: ‘Listen you.
This is a white country you black b*****d.
‘
The tattooed thug, who has spent time in prison for firearms offences, then snatched a salt pot and shoved it in his pocket daring Mr Hassibi to stop him.
When bearded Flanagan, White and a third unnamed man were arrested they denied abusing Mr Hassibi on August 27 last year.
Judge Paul Dodgson told the pair: ‘This is a serious offence and I do not rule out custody in either of your cases.
‘
Flanagan, of (51) Priory Road, Chiswick, west London and White, of (58) Stenbridge Road, Penge, southeast London, were both convicted by the jury of racially aggravated fear of provocation of violence at the restaurant in Shepherds Market.
They were both bailed to return for sentencing on May 8 while reports are prepared.
