SCHOOLBOYS IN COURT OVER MURDER OF TEENAGER WHO WAS STABBED IN THE NECK
Three teenagers accused of stabbing a 16-year-old schoolboy to death in the street appeared at the Old Bailey today (MON).
The suspects, two aged 15 and one 14, are charged with the murder of Yemurai Kanyangarara in Welling, southeast London, earlier this month.
Yemurai was attacked in broad daylight as he got off a bus in Upper Wickham Lane at around 5pm on July 1.
He bled to death after suffering a single stab wound to the neck.
The two 15 year-olds from Peckham and the 14 year-old from Camberwell appeared in court for a short bail hearing.
No bail application was made and the boys will return for a full hearing on Friday once they have been committed by the youth court.
One of them was described by his barrister at ‘quite a promising student.’
Yemurai, from Belvedere, southeast London, was a pupil at St Columba’s Catholic Boys’ School, Bexleyheath, but had been living with his father in Leicester.
