Son denies ripping off his elderly mother

A son has denied fleecing his elderly mother of almost £40,000 while acting as her carer. James Baillie, 25, is said to have stolen £38,625 from Thomasina Dixon, in her 70s, over the course of three years between 1 January 2014 and 26 October 2017. Baillie allegedly applied for a credit card to Vanquis bank in his mother’s name and gambled her money away while caring for her.
