Jail for sex and drugs gang

Three Romanians who made a fortune running ran a ‘sex n drugs’ delivery service from a house in Chingford have been jailed for a total of 14 years.

Claudia Anca, 27, and her brother Vasile, 24, came to Britain to run the sex agency and hired Mahaita Strat, 51, as a driver.

They paid £25,000 for advertising on the Viva Street website boasting ‘Top Quality Escorts London Best Busty London Party Girls.’

Advertisements offered a range of services including French kissing, tantric massage and ‘GFE’ – girlfriend experience.

‘Typically, a customer would telephone the telephone number on the adverts,’ prosecutor Ben Lloyd told Snaresbrook crown court.

‘They would speak with Claudia Anca, who would then make the arrangements with the sex workers working for her.

‘Drugs would be provided by Claudia Anca and Vasile Anca if asked for by the customers.

‘The worker would then contact the customer. The sexual services would be arranged for a hotel venue or a home address, and the customer would provide the relevant address.’

The couple started in the east London area but were spreading as far as Twickenham when police moved in.

Officers posed as customers to hire a girl for sex and buy cocaine in Barking hotel rooms on two separate occasions.

When the girl and the drugs arrived the officers made their excuses and left.

Police also filmed sex workers coming and going to the base in Garfield Road, Chingford.

When police raided the home they found six wraps of cocaine and the scales to weigh out the drugs.

In a message to her brother Claudia Anca stated: ‘Starting today I want all the girls to be dressed elegantly. Black trousers. Heels. Elegant tops. I do not accept sport style jackets. Make up. Straightened hair. The drivers will forward me photos of all the girls, from head to toe, and profile ones too.’

Strat was arrested after a drop off at a hotel in Barking and said: ‘I’m just an agency driver.’

The brother and sister made no comment when they were arrested.

All three defendants admitted controlling prostitution for gain and conspiring to supply Class A drugs between 3 March 2019 and 13 January 2021

The brother and sister were both jailed for six years and Strat was given two years imprisonment.

Judge Louise Kamill said: ‘Claudia Anca arrived in UK in 2014 and has worked in the sex industry ever since.

‘Her money is sent back to her family in Romania where she had a hard life.

‘The agency as required, supplied cocaine to those clients who asked – it was generally sent out with the sex worker or sometimes with the driver.

‘The work was supplied through out London. As far west as Twickenham and as far east as way into Essex.

‘They also were able to run cars they have a number of telephones and Mr Strat I’m told in his written plea went to Romania for a month and presumably was able to fund that too.

‘This was an agency which was making a considerable sum and which was intended to do so.

‘The view that the court takes is that this operation has been controlled for a number of years, there were a large number of appointments, and by its nature workers were exposed to danger.

‘The judge told Claudia Anca: ‘I’m told that you came into the country in 2014 and clearly you have entrepreneurial skills but failed to find yourself any pro-social work but placed yourself in the sex working category.’

All three defendants showed no trace of emotion as they were led to the cells.
