Man accused of killing father said he fell down the stairs

A son accused of murdering his father at their home told paramedics he had fallen down the stairs, the Old Bailey heard. Larry Chaters, 68, was taken to King’s College Hospital with chest injuries on 27 December. He developed pneumonia from his injuries and died on 2 January.
