BMW driver nodded off at the wheel and ploughed into a commuter

A BMW driver who ploughed into a commuter and left him in a coma after falling asleep at the wheel was jailed for just 27 months. Abdelrahman Awadalla, 27, had attended the Boomtown Music festival near Winchester, Hampshire the previous weekend and had consumed booze along with cannabis, Southwark Crown Court heard.
