A randy romeo made love to his girlfriend before seeking second helpings with her sleeping flatmate, it was alleged today (Tuesday).

The 24-year-old crept into bed with the raven-haired beauty to help himself but found he had to eat humble pie when the teenager woke while being subjected to his unwanted attentions.

At first Miss X thought she was being caressed by her boyfriend – but soon
discovered she was being sexually assaulted and was later physically sick.

At London’s Southwark Crown Court, Roger Cooper denies indecently assaulting
the 19-year-old on April 8, last year, and claims he believed she consented to sex.

Sarah Plashkes, prosecuting, said at first Cooper, from Stoke Newington, north London, denied the incident ever took place after being confronted by a ‘shocked’ victim and his furious lover.

She said a saliva swab from Miss X’s shoulder was tested for DNA – saying the chance of the body fluid being from someone else was ‘a billion to one.

‘

Miss X had gone to bed leaving her flatmate and Cooper drinking champagne, the defendant also smoking cannabis.

She climbed under the covers wearing a camisole and pants and was soon ‘fast
asleep.

‘

The court heard she woke to find someone pulling down her pants
and intimately touching her private parts.

‘As she became more conscious, she realised it was not her boyfriend.

‘

Miss Plashkes said the victim began shouting and swearing, while Cooper dressed and was ‘looking humble.

‘

Miss X woke her flatmate to complain Cooper had been in her bed, touching her and ‘jerking off.

‘

When interviewed by police, Cooper is alleged to have told detectives ‘it was a mistake.

‘

He claimed he had sex with his girlfriend before going downstairs to get more condoms.

When he returned to find the woman asleep, he said he had knocked at Miss X’s bedroom door and started chatting with her.

‘He asked to have sex with her but Miss X asked what about her flatmate and
Cooper said she was not his girlfriend,’ said the barrister.

‘He said he made a move on Miss X but she boxed his hands away and Miss X
started shouting she would tell her flatmate.

‘

Cooper told officers he did not kiss or indecently touch Miss X.

The jury were told the issue would be whether the sex assault actually
happened, and whether Miss X consented.

The trial continues.
