Accused knife killer in court

A man accused of knifing his partner to death at her home appeared at the Old Bailey today (Wed).

Kevin O’Regan, 37, is accused of the murder of 44-year-old Donna Williamson in Lee, southeast London.

The victim was found with two stab wounds to the chest at an address in Somertrees Avenue on Saturday 13 August.

O’Regan appeared in court today (Wed) by videolink from Belmarsh prison, speaking only to confirm his name and that he could hear proceedings.

Prosecutor Lucy Organ said: ‘On 13 August this year, Donna Williamson was found by the London Ambulance Service with two stab wounds to her chest…The defendant is her partner.’

Judge Michael Topolski QC set a date of 30 January next year for the trial which is expected to last up to two weeks.

There was no application for bail and O’Regan, of (112) Birdsbrook Road, in Eltham was remanded in custody until a plea and trial preparation hearing on 2 November.
