Accused of conning £1m from this woman

A financier charged with stealing more than £1m from a Commonwealth diplomat has appeared in court. Maurice Miskelly, 62, allegedly swindled £1.1m from Jamaican activist Patsy Robertson, who died from heart failure aged 86 on 25 August last year. Ms Robertson served as Director of Information for the Commonwealth Secretariat and Official Spokesperson for the Commonwealth between 1983 and 1994.
