Algerian Rolex Rippers at work
This is the moment an Algerian Rolex ripper carries out a brazen attack in broad daylight.
Footage released by the Met Police shows Zakaria Snouci, 26, talking to an accomplice as the victim slowly walks past him on the corner of Porchester Place near Hyde Park in central London.
Snouci jogs behind the middle-aged man, takes his £30,000 Patek Philippe watch off his wrist and sprints away.
The victim appears to be in shock and gestures to a passing motorist that he has just been robbed on 19 April last year.
Snouci appeared at Southwark Crown Court dressed in a black jumper, speaking only to admit robbery, aided by an Arabic interpreter.
Judge Mark Weekes told him: ‘I am going to order a pre-sentence report which would deal with the question of dangerousness with the case.’
Souci was remanded to custody ahead of sentence on 23 April.
