Algerian watch thief was facing deportation

An illegal immigrant who took part in two muggings of watches worth more than £1m is facing jail. Algerians Ahsan Medjahed, 23, and Karim Boukerb, 24, targeted Zain Butt for his Richard Mille timepiece near the world-famous store in Knightsbridge, last October 5. Boukerb was heard urging two accomplices to ‘grab the watch’ before making good their escape and the timepiece has never been recovered.
