Arsonist killed woman in Houslow house fire

An arsonist started a house fire that left a woman dead and eight others hospitalised, a court heard. Pawel Kulpa, 34, allegedly set the property ablaze on Berkeley Avenue, Hounslow, just after 1am on 19 August. Anna Kowalska, 50, died in hospital, while another woman, 40, remains in a life-threatening condition. Seven others – six men and one woman – have since been discharged with minor injuries.
