Conman jailed for offering baking soda to police officer

A conman attacked a police officer who tried to arrest him for selling baking soda in Soho for £40 a line. Sidique Govinden, 23, approached the plain clothes officer on Dean Street in the early hours and asked if he ‘wanted girls’ before offering him cocaine.
