‘Dine and dash’ conman accused of flower pot row assaults

A ‘dine and dash’ conman assaulted four police officers after a row about a flower pot, a court heard. Eric Austin, 48, lashed out at police at a police officer was called to investigate an incident in Warren Mews, Fitzrovia, on 25 May. He was taken to to hospital for his own safety and attacked three more officers there.
