Ebola nurse was ‘sheepish’ when confronted on faked tests

A shift manager at the ‘chaotic’ Heathrow checkpoint responsible for screening arrivals from at-risk countries told a hearing that ebola nurse Pauline Cafferkey got through by ‘deception’. David Carruthers was on duty when Ms Cafferkey and her colleague Donna Wood returned from Sierra Leone on 28 December 2014. He told the Nursing and Midwifery Council that the checkpoint at Terminal 4 was running out of both screening forms and monitoring kits because of a ‘higher than usual’ number of arrivals….
