Hit and run driver faces trial over mother’s death

A hit and run driver allegedly killed a mother-of-two enjoying a night out with friends, a court heard. Rhiannon Hall, 21, was hit by Alex Barnett’s a car on London Road, Cheam, south London, on 16 October last year and died in hospital four days later. Barnett appeared at the Old Bailey dressed in a charcoal suit and burgundy tie today (tues) and denied causing death by careless driving.
