Hotel migrant jailed for eight weeks after ‘stress’ of living at taxpayer’s expense drove him to shoplift

A migrant who stole a £1,005 jacket from Liberty has been jailed for eight weeks in his absence after repeatedly refusing to attend court. Georgian Varlami Bobokhidze, 36, was arrested after he made multiple trips to the West End to steal from high end stores.
