A chef caught transporting £30,000 for a ‘wealthy Iraqi businessman’ has been spared jail. Kamaran Mahmud, 34, was approached by police in a white Range Rover on Belsize Road, west London. Mahmud refused to cooperate with police and locked the doors to avoid being caught, Blackfriars crown court heard.
