Labour MP accused of harassment demands to sit outside the dock and have her address kept secret

A Labour MP today denied orchestrating a campaign of harassment against a woman for nearly two years. Leicester East MP Claudia Webbe, 55, allegedly made numerous phone calls and twice threatened Michelle Merritt. Ms Webbe appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court wearing a black blazer, large leather belt and a broach of a poppy and confirmed her name but did not reply when asked for her address.
