‘Mute’ tennis player faces gun charge

An international tennis player allegedly caught with an illegal blank firing pistol in a gun shop refused to speak when he appeared in court. Constantin Christ, 27, understands English but would only read out notes on scraps of paper read out by a police officer at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
