Pensioner ‘tried to murder man’

A pensioner accused of trying to murder a man has been remanded into custody. John Aiton, 71, allegedly attacked Rahal Syoum in north London on 29 February. Aiton appeared via video-link at the Old Bailey from HMP Wormwood Scrubs charged with attempted murder and an alternative count of wounding with intent.
