Police officer must wait a year for assault trial

A former police sergeant accused of attacking a man while making an arrest must wait more than a year to stand trial. Paul Street, 40, allegedly assaulted Samuel Kayode in January 2020, then concocted false statements in relation to injuries suffered by Mr Kayode.
