Protestor who scaled Big Ben walks free from court

A bare-footed protester who scaled Big Ben wrapped in a Palestinian flag and clung to the landmark for 17 hours was spared jail. Daniel Day, 30, sparked a major emergency response when he climbed part of the 96-metre-high Elizabeth Tower at the Palace of Westminster on 8 March last year.
