Fire regulations ‘breached’ by care home bosses

A care home bosses were not complying with fire regulations when two elderly residents died in blaze at the residence, a court heard. Ivy Spriggs, 91,and 88-year-old Daphne Holloway perished when flames ripped through the Newgrange home in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
