Spy wanted to ‘pass information on an MP to Russian intelligence’

An accused spy intended to disclose information on an MP to Russia’s intelligence service, a court heard. Howard Phillips, 64, was charged earlier today (Thurs) with an offence contrary to section 3 of the National Security Act. He held ‘sensitive information in regards to an MP’ which he passed on, Westminster magistrates court heard.
