A student broke a Hong Kong government official’s wrist during an angry pro-democracy demonstration, a court heard. Chi Ho Mok, 33, shoved justice secretary Teresa Cheng in the back as she struggled to escape a crowd of protestors on 14 November last year. Confusion between Mrs Cheng’s security and driver meant she was left unprotected and protesters surrounded her chanting and flashing lights into her eyes.
