Miss D said at one stage, before Edwards launched the horrific rape attack, she asked him:

‘Why is it that when a woman says no men can’t understand.

She said Edwards said nothing, but started rotating his head.

Then he started trying to kiss her again.

I pushed his hand away.

I was scared and frightened.

At this stage he offered me his hand and pulled me off his bed like he was going to take me home.

‘I was crying and trembling and he said: ‘I’ll take you home.

‘Then I started to calm down.

But then he pushed me with both hands onto the bed.

He pushed me so I fell backwards and my head bounced on the mattress.

‘He pushed me back onto the bed and climbed on top of me and put his arm on my throat across my neck.

She said Edwards applied pressure by pushing his left hand onto his right arm and down over he throat.

‘I couldn’t breathe,’ she said.

‘I was very shocked and I was just so frightened.

‘He said: ‘Take your f—–g knickers off now.

‘I remember seeing his teeth.

He didn’t speak through his mouth, he spoke through his teeth like a dog growling at you.

‘I thought he was going to batter me in the face.

He pulled my knickers down my thigh.

‘I was crying and trembling and I said to him: ‘Please don’t do this.

Miss D said he scrunched her knickers up into a ball and tossed them into the corner of the bedroom.

‘He was very angry.

He was talking to me.

but it didn’t make sense.

‘He said: ‘I don’t want to do this but all you f——g bitches are all the same.

‘

‘He said: ‘It’s your fault.

‘

‘Everything he said twice or three times.

He said it was my fault that I was pretty.

‘He also said: ‘What do I have to live for.

I haven’t had sex since February.

”

Miss D said Edwards stripped and ordered her to take all her clothes off.

She was so scared she complied, even removing her jewellery, the court heard.

‘He told me to stay on the bed in the far corner.

When I was on the bed I was trembling and shaking.

‘

But she said after a moment Edwards started hugging her, saying.

‘I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry.

‘

Then, after she stopped shaking, his mood changed again, ordering her to lie back on the bed.

Miss D said she asked Edwards to wear a condom but he refused.

She also pleaded with him not to rape her telling him not to be ‘sad’ but he replied:

‘He said: ‘Sad, sad, do you want me to show you what a sad man can do.

”

She was then raped by Edwards, who told her to rotate her hips as though she was enjoying the experience.

Miss D was lactating at the time and she said Edwards even got turned on by drinking her milk from her breasts.

And she told the jury that she no longer feels able to breast-feed her son, adding:

‘I couldn’t breast-feed my son any more because I felt so dirty.

‘

Miss D said after the first attack Edwards smoked another joint.

‘I thought he was going to take me home but then he told me to get back on the bed.

He began to rape me again.

‘

Afterwards she said she went to the toilet, followed by Edwards, because she thought she was going to be sick.

At that stage she was crying and, recalling her desperate thoughts, said:

‘If he wants to kill me he can just kill me because I don’t want him to do it again.

I don’t care.

‘

Then she said Edwards mocked her by saying she did not look as pretty as she did earlier in the evening.

‘He opened the front door and then he was normal again,’ she added.

Miss D said he even offered her a jacket saying she looked cold before driving her home.

She said she considered raising the alarm to some men working on the road, adding:

‘I think he knew what my intentions were.

He said: ‘I bet you are going to call this a rape now, I bet you are going to call this a rape.

‘

‘He said it was my fault and that I looked nice earlier.

‘

As Miss D graphically recalled her horrific ordeal at the hands of Edwards her tearful boyfriend, seated a matter of feet from the accused attacker, leapt up and screamed:

‘You f—–g dirty nonce, they should hang you.

‘

Edwards denies one charge of rape and the trial continues.
