‘You’re faking it!’

A judge has branded the ‘trusted friend’ of Sir Samuel Brittan a ‘compulsive liar’ and a ‘faker’ after she failed to attend her latest sentencing for defrauding the famous author out of £117,000. Michelle Braithwaite (corr), 46, admitted transferring cash from the writer’s bank accounts without his consent earlier this year but has continuously claimed that she does not remember her dishonesty. Braithwaite also used Sir Samuel’s American Express credit card to pay for holidays to Malta and Gran Canaria….
