Two Filipino maids stole £300,000 worth of  jewellery from a widow grieving over the death of her husband, a court heard. Lorna Manuel, 44, teamed up with Rowena Manuel to take the heirlooms from Edna Ghel’s £3m home in St John’s Wood, northwest London.
