Elderly bus driver ran over pensioner

An elderly London bus driver killed an 83-year-old woman as she crossed a road outside a railway station, a court heard. Ozdemir Zia, 76, collided with Edna McLean on Vincent Road outside Woolwich Arsenal Station at 10.31am on 11 September 2021. The pensioner was taken to hospital by air ambulance but never regained consciousness and died on 13 September 2021.
