BRADLEY: TRIAL DATE MOVED SO LORRY DRIVER CAN TOUR WITH RIHANNA

A long distance lorry driver accused of a road rage attack had his trial put back to November so he can tour with R&B star Rihanna.

Michael Bradley, 57, will be part of the singer’s road crew on her upcoming Loud tour this September and October.

Michael Range, defending, asked District judge Nicholas Evans to consider the trip when fixing a trial date for Bradley.

Bradley denied assault and using threatening words or behaviour at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

It is claimed Bradley got out of his lorry on Edgware Road, north London, on July 5 and punched a BMW driver in the face.

He then took the motorist’s car keys and dropped them ten yards away.

Claire Campbell, prosecuting, said: ‘There was an incident and Mr Bradley got out of his lorry and punched the victim in the face, causing bruising.

‘He then grabbed the victim’s keys and, he said, dropped them ten yards away from the vehicle.

‘But the victim certainly didn’t see that so he was left without his keys.’

Bradley, of Challoner Crescent, Hammersmith, west London, was released on unconditional bail until November 5.

He will then face trial at the new City of London Magistrates’ Court building on Marylebone Road.
