Teenager ‘put council worker in a coma’

A teenager accused of assaulting a council worker in the street, leaving him in a coma, has been remanded in custody. Amery Fraser, 19, allegedly battered 39-year-old Eddy Nganji over the head with an object on the evening of 8 August. The Woking Borough Council worker was left with serious head injuries and was placed in an induced coma by doctors. He remains in a critical condition, with his family keeping a bedside vigil.
