Accused people smugglers in court

Two men accused of smuggling 17 Albanians into the UK aboard a boat have appeared in court. Jetmir Marku, 35, and Jimmy Marku, 44, allegedly used a ‘leisure sailing vessel’ to smuggle the immigrants on or before 23 May 2016. The pair are also accused of providing accommodation for illegal immigrants between 2014 and 2017. They are also charged with concealing criminal property.
