Climate protestors appear in court

Four alleged climate change activists appeared in court today accused of damaging offices belonging to the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Elizabeth Beck, 56, Rosie Lancaster, 34, Elizabeth Haughton, 23, and Laura Hughes, 37, were arrested last November during a series of protests by Extinction Rebellion across the capital. They appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court charged with causing damage of up to £5,000 at the offices of DEFRA, at Nobel House, Smith Square, central London on 14 November….
