Bomb hoax sent US Embassy into full lockdown

A ‘bomb hoaxer’ accused of sending the US Embassy in London into full security lockdown has appeared in court today. Daniel Parmenter, 43, allegedly left a fake IED near to the embassy in Nine Elms on 22 November. A controlled explosion was had to carried out by bomb disposal experts as the area was sealed off/ Parmenter was arrested two days later after a police search of his home in Bayswater, west London.
