Downing Street protester denies bomb hoax

An accused bomb hoaxer has denied claiming an explosive device has beeplanted by the gates of 10 Downing Street. Stephen Abbott, 59, of Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, appeared in the dock at the Old Bailey today wearing a black suit jacket over a white shirt and navy tie.
