A Kosovan refugee who brutally raped a sultry South American beauty after she refused to have sex with his friend began a seven year jail sentence today.

Kastriot Kazhuta, 25, ripped off the the pretty Columbian waitress’s black dress ‘like an animal’ and muttered obscenities in his native tongue as he carried out the attack.

Inner London Crown Court heard how Kazhuta and 17-year-old fellow asylum seeker Baram Morina pounced on the sobbing woman after luring her to a south London house on July 25 last year.

The teenager threatened the terrified 26-year-old with his belt, smashed her head against a wall, and scratched her breasts before trying to rape her, a jury was told.

But she managed to fight him off, and Kazhuta then told the woman: ‘If you don’t have sex with him, we will rape you.

Speaking through an interpreter, the dark-haired woman said Kazhuta then forced himself on her.

She told the court: ‘He pushed me into a bedroom violently.

I was punching him, but every time I did he would punch me twice as hard.

‘He ripped my clothes off like an animal.

Then he threw me on the bed and raped me.

He did it three times, very rapidly.

He was saying rude words in Kosovan.

‘He was kissing me on the mouth and I was spitting at him, but he didn’t care.

I don’t know if he ejaculated because at that moment the police arrived and he got dressed and left.

Officers had been alerted by passers-by who had heard the woman’s screams for help.

They found Kazhuta cowering in bushes nearby.

He was not wearing his underpants, and they were later found in a bedroom at the house in Rust Square, Camberwell, south London.

The court heard that prior to the attack Morina had often pestered her for sex, even offering her money.

And he once allegedly threatened her with a fork and told her: ‘If we were in Kosovo I would kill you and pull you apart into pieces.

‘

The jury convicted Kazhuta of rape, false imprisonment, and assault causing actual bodily harm.

Morina was found guilty of attempted rape, false imprisonment and assault causing actual bodily harm.

The pair, both last living in the London Park Hotel, Elephant and Castle, denied the charges.

Judge Jonathan van der Werff jailed Kazhuta for seven years and ordered Morina to be detained in a Young Offenders’ Institute for three years.

The judge also recommended the pair’s deportation after they have served the terms.
