A male nurse accused of stabbing a Healthcare assistant to death in front of shocked patients a fortnight ago made a brief appearance at the Old Bailey today.

Mlungisi Tshabangu, 33, from Orpington, is charged with murdering father-of-one Lee Field, 34, of Mottingham, on February 12 on the HG Wells ward at Bromley Hospital.
Tshabangu spoke once to answer to his name.
Judge Peter Beaumont, QC, remanded him in custody until May 25 when there will be a plea and directions hearing.
